Last Saturday turned out to be a beautiful day in Pentwater and I am so happy, because the only fitting weather for this couple was a sunny, blue-sky day! We had so much fun spending the day with Nick, Monica and their family & friends. The entire wedding was fun, romantic and gorgeous.
Preparations took place at the lovely beach home where we would end up later that evening for the reception. Color and fun was in abundance!
And the rings… Sigh. I believe (if I remember correctly) Monica’s ring has been handed down in Nick’s family for generations. This is definitely one of my favorite ring photographs – simple and elegant.
The ceremony was in the heart of Pentwater — in this beautiful little church. I loved the personalized fans that were handed out – such a nice touch and very much appreciated by the guests on this hot summer day.
Then we were off to the Yacht Club to capture a few photographs before heading to the reception.
Hands-down, the coolest ride ever from a ceremony to the reception! I was in another boat that followed them… let me tell you, it is a bit tricky photographing from a moving, swaying boat! Gotta love a little adventure!
What a fun reception!
The sunset over the lake was simply perfect and I knew having them stand on this dock while I was on another would give me THIS. I love when everything comes together to create photographs like this… a sweet couple who is up for anything, a perfect sunset that makes you thank God for such beauty and an assistant to help take care of all the details so I can do what I love to do.
Nick & Monica – thank you again. Best wishes and safe travels! ~ Mary Beth and Julie
